This page explains how the prayers, Bible verse pages and other articles on this website are made, where the Scripture comes from and how we check it. We want you to know exactly what you are reading.
Who is behind this website
Talk to Jesus is made by the Talk to Jesus team at Presentmania s.r.o. The same team makes the Talk to Jesus app for iPhone and Android. On this site, we focus on prayer and Scripture and leave debated doctrinal questions to your church.
Which Bible translation we quote
Every Bible quotation on this website is from the World English Bible (WEB), in the edition published by eBible.org that uses American spelling and “LORD” for God’s name in the Old Testament. We chose it because:
- It is in the public domain, so we can quote it word for word without asking permission or changing anything.
- It is a modern English translation that is easy to read aloud.
- The verse widget in the Talk to Jesus app uses the same edition.
How we check every quotation
- Verse text comes from the eBible.org edition, and anything drafted is checked against it.
- Before we publish a prayer page, a Bible verse page or the Verse of the Day list, a script compares every quotation on it, character by character, with the eBible.org text, and we fix any difference first.
- We quote whole verses, runs of consecutive verses, or a continuous part of one verse. We never reword Scripture, join pieces of different passages, or fix its punctuation. We may leave out a psalm’s title line or a quotation mark that belongs to the surrounding story.
- Each verse is checked in its setting during review, and we add a line of context where a verse is easily misread, for example a promise first given to Israel, or a psalm that is a prayer rather than a guarantee.
How the prayers and articles are written
Our prayers and articles are drafted with AI writing tools. Each draft then goes through separate AI review passes: one for faithfulness to Scripture and pastoral care (how it will read to someone who is hurting, grieving or afraid), and one for clarity and search. The Talk to Jesus team is responsible for everything published here. We keep a few rules for everything we publish:
- We don’t promise outcomes. A prayer for healing, protection or sleep is an honest request to God, not a guarantee, and not a replacement for a doctor, a counselor or emergency help.
- We don’t tell anyone that illness, anxiety or depression means weak faith.
- We don’t invent statistics or quote people who didn’t say something.
- We don’t hide text for search engines. What you see is what we publish.
The illustrations are simple vector drawings in the style of the Talk to Jesus app, some of them drawn with the help of AI tools. We don’t use photos.
About the voice in the app
In the Talk to Jesus app you can pray out loud and hear a calm voice. The words and the voice are generated by AI. It is not Jesus and not a pastor, and it can be wrong.
Not advice, and not for emergencies
Nothing on this website is medical, psychological or legal advice. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 (in the US) or your local emergency number. For a mental health crisis in the US, call or text 988.
